The Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney is Australia’s oldest scientific institution and one of the oldest public botanic gardens in the Southern Hemisphere. Established in 1816 on the eastern side of Farm Cove, it forms part of the Domain beside Sydney Harbour. Its collections and landscaped grounds document the botanical history of New South Wales.
