This Is the oldest headstone In the Cemetary and predates the Devonshire Street Cemetary. 
John Putland Was married to Mary Bligh & the Son In Law Of Governor Bligh. He died On The way to New SouthWales in 1808 when Governor Bligh (famous from The Mutiny On The Bounty) arrived To Take over from Governor Phillip Gidley King - Lieutenant Governor, of the New South Wales Marine Corp.
